Practice makes perfect.
Perfection is impossible, but don’t let that stop you from trying. The point isn’t to get so good that you stop making mistakes, it’s to get so lost in your work that you stop thinking about them. Your talents are in you, just waiting for you to let go and get out of the way. That’s what takes practice. That’s purpose. That’s worthy of a lifetime of devotion. Perfection is a good goal precisely because it can never be reached.
