Social media is bad for you. (White) Print
Social media is bad for you. The screen casts a light, but offers no warmth. You hold it closely, but you’re not comforted. How long will you study that dark reflection before you learn its lesson? That is not you, but a lesser thing. O, If you could see your face in the sunlight, undiminished by a narrow aperture, unfettered and set aloft by spontaneous joy. If only you could see your unplanned smile. The authentic has so much to feel, don’t numb your heart with the artificial. There is so little time to take it all in, don’t pause for a picture. The glow of that rectangle is no substitute for the light within you.
